Wet Wipe and Dry Wipe Materials
Recommended Material / Structure
Spunlace nonwoven as the main platform; options include viscose/PET, viscose/PP, lyocell, bamboo fiber, pure cotton, and spunlace wood-pulp composite. Dry wipes can use high-loft spunlace or through-air nonwoven.
Requirements
Material Performance Requirements
Softness, liquid absorbency, wet strength, low linting, and strong wiping performance. Wet wipes also require compatibility with lotion formula, with low risk of yellowing, odor, or leaching.
Cost Control Requirements
Select fiber blend by wiping grade: PET/viscose spunlace for general cleaning; lyocell/cottony materials for premium baby care or facial care. Control basis weight and width waste.
Environmental & Biodegradability Requirements
Options include dispersible, biodegradable, plastic-free spunlace, FSC pulp, and lyocell. Avoid non-biodegradable plastic fibers when making biodegradable claims.
Batch Delivery Requirements
Wet wipe materials require high volume and stable roll thickness, wet strength, and microbial control; dry wipes require clean packaging and low dust.
Custom Development Requirements
Customizable pearl pattern, plain pattern, mesh pattern, EF texture, basis weight, fiber ratio, hydrophilicity, dispersibility, antibacterial finishing, and single-sheet size.
Overseas Export & Certification Requirements
For export, consider cosmetics/consumer-product regulations, REACH, ingredient safety, and flushability standards. Baby and medical wipes require separate skin-contact and microbial testing.
Solution Advantages
Spunlace delivers good hand feel, high absorbency, and broad application coverage; fiber-blend design adjusts cost, strength, and environmental attributes simultaneously.
Technical Parameters & Selection Recommendations
Recommended basis weight: 30–80 gsm; common width: 1.0–3.2 m. Key tests: water absorption, MD/CD strength, linting, thickness, dispersibility, and lotion compatibility.
