High-Strength Filter Substrates
Recommended Material / Structure
PET filament spunbond, PET/PP needle-punched media, glass-fiber-reinforced substrate, PA or PPS high-temperature filter substrate; optional membrane lamination, coating, or heat setting.
Requirements
Material Performance Requirements
High tensile strength, dimensional stability, temperature resistance, chemical resistance, low shrinkage, and good bonding strength for composites; support layers should maintain uniform porosity.
Cost Control Requirements
Select PET/PP/PPS/glass fiber according to temperature and corrosion level. Use PET for regular operating conditions to reduce cost; use PPS/aramid and other high-performance materials for high-temperature/corrosive environments.
Environmental & Biodegradability Requirements
Prioritize long-life and cleanable structures to reduce replacement frequency; recycled PET can be evaluated, but reliability must come first in high-performance applications.
Batch Delivery Requirements
High-strength substrates require stable tensile strength, thickness, and thermal shrinkage; lock raw-material batches and heat-setting parameters by project.
Custom Development Requirements
Customizable basis weight, thickness, pore size, machine/cross-direction strength, heat setting, flame retardancy, antistatic treatment, membrane lamination, coating, color, and composite compatibility.
Overseas Export & Certification Requirements
For export, consider industry application standards, RoHS/REACH, flame-retardant requirements, and high-temperature safety specifications. High-temperature flue-gas filtration must meet customer engineering acceptance criteria.
Solution Advantages
Outstanding strength and dimensional stability; suitable as a support layer for membranes, filter bags, and composite filter media; improves service life of final filter products.
Technical Parameters & Selection Recommendations
Recommended basis weight: 80–600 gsm; width: 1.5–4.5 m. Key tests: MD/CD tensile strength, thermal shrinkage, air permeability, peel strength, temperature and chemical resistance.
