Frost Protection Fabric
Recommended Material / Structure
PP spunbond agricultural nonwoven, through-air insulation fabric, and composite frost-protection fabric. UV-resistant and anti-aging masterbatch can be added for short-term cover or multi-season use.
Requirements
Material Performance Requirements
Thermal insulation, light transmission, breathability, tensile strength, weather resistance, and UV resistance; cover should not suffocate seedlings or collect water and should be easy to lay and recover.
Cost Control Requirements
Use low-basis-weight PP spunbond for short-term frost protection; increase basis weight and UV additive for multi-season use; customize width by field size to reduce overlap and waste.
Environmental & Biodegradability Requirements
Options include biodegradable agricultural fabric or recyclable PP. Establish a recovery plan to avoid field residues; reduce heavy-metal pigments and uncontrolled additives.
Batch Delivery Requirements
Demand is highly seasonal; stock preparation is required in advance. Secure resin, color, width, and packaging specifications before the autumn/winter peak.
Custom Development Requirements
Customizable white/black/green colors, UV-resistance lifetime, basis weight, width, perforation, edge pressing, roll length, and customer-branded packaging.
Overseas Export & Certification Requirements
For export, consider agricultural material import rules, REACH, heavy-metal limits, UV claims, and local customer requirements for crop-cover materials.
Solution Advantages
Lightweight, easy to install, low cost, and balanced insulation/breathability; selection can be tiered by crop and climate, with flexible delivery.
Technical Parameters & Selection Recommendations
Recommended basis weight: 17–60 gsm; width: 1–6 m. Key tests: light transmission, air permeability, MD/CD tensile strength, aging resistance, and thermal-insulation effect.
